Il disegno rappresenta i sentimenti, i gesti e le intenzioni messi in scena dai nostri movimenti e dal nostro incedere sulla terra.
Ad ogni gesto corrisponde una piccola variazione del disegno che nel complesso si lega in un tribale universale. ..The City of Feelings is an imaginary map.
The drawing represents the feelings, gestures and intentions staged by our movements and our stay on earth.
Each gesture corresponds to a small variation of the design which as a whole can be read as a universal tribal. ….
….L’installazione è stata realizzata in occasione della mostra "Ricominciare dal silenzio”, prima edizione dell’annuale festival in vetrina “co_atto un_fair”, a cura del project space co_atto, organizzato presso la stazione del Passante Ferroviario di Milano Porta Garibaldi.
Il disegno è costruito secondo una logica centrifuga che vede al centro il singolo individuo, il quale allontanandosi dal nucleo, genera un’intelaiatura di relazioni con gli esseri che lo circondano.
The City of Feelings rappresenta un frammento ridotto di una mappa tendenzialmente infinita che in questa istanza inquadra un periodo specifico: quello della quarantena.
Dunque, In questa declinazione, si legge la ripetitività delle azioni, il limitato e regimentato contatto umano e la totale mancanza di espressione pubblica.
La mappa è un promemoria di come l‘ambiente che ci circonda possa cambiare drasticamente e quasi istantaneamente cadere nel silenzio.
Il messaggio parla di spazio pubblico e privato, di libertà e di connessione, di come queste condizioni, considerate fino a ieri dovute e immutabili, oggi diventino valori da tutelare e incentivare attraverso il nostro lavoro. ..The installation was created for the exhibition "Ricominciare dal silenzio" (Restarting from silence), the first edition of the annual "co_atto un_fair" festival, curated by the project space co_atto and organized inside the Milan Porta Garibaldi railway station.
The drawing follows a centrifugal logic that envisions the single individual at the center, who by moving away from the nucleus, generates a framework of relationships with the beings that surround him.
The city of feelings represents a reduced fragment of a basically infinite map that in this instance frames a specific period: the quarantine. Therefore, in this declination, we can read the repetitiveness of actions, the limited and regimented human contact and the total lack of public expression.
The map is a reminder of how the environment around us can drastically change and almost instantly fall into silence. The message speaks of public and private space, of freedom and connection, of how these conditions, obvious and immutable until yesterday, today become values to be protected and encouraged through our work. ….
